Register as a voter (Voter ID / EPIC)
New voter registration with Form 6; the EPIC card is posted and the e-EPIC can be downloaded.
What you need
- Recent colour passport-size photo (4.5 × 3.5 cm) on a white background
- Age proof: birth certificate, Aadhaar, PAN, driving licence, Class X or XII certificate or Indian passport
- Proof of ordinary residence
- Aadhaar number is optional
Step by step
- Open Form 6 on the Voters' Service Portal or the Voter Helpline app
- Fill in your details and upload the photo and self-attested documents
- Submit and note the reference number to track the application
- After enrolment, receive the EPIC by post or download the e-EPIC

- Attaching one of the documents listed in the form speeds up registration.
- The e-EPIC is downloaded with your EPIC or reference number and an OTP to your mobile.
- Use the same name spelling as in your age proof.
